Arch. TED VILLAMOR G. INOCENCIO, fuap
Archt. Ted Villamor G. Inocencio, FUAP , is the current Dean of the College of Architecture and Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa, Manila and a Design and Technical Consultant for Eastville Realty Company in Greenhills with projects ranging from community development, housing/residential (low and medium-rise), commercial (Amici and Cara Mia chains) and urban design.
A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas (BS Architecture) and the University of the Philippines-Diliman (Master of Architecture major in Design and Community Architecture), where he was twice awarded the ”Katibayan ng Kagalingan” for academic excellence in 1996 . He underwent various trainings, seminars, workshops, writeshops, fora, symposia, summits and conventions both in the academe and the Architecture profession. Recent of which are, Fire and Life Safety Training and Seminar(FALAR) conducted by UAP/BFP and a Course Certificate for Change and Transition Management from the Asian Institute of Management (May 2011) . He has presented papers in national and local research colloquia either as presenter or research adviser and also as panel discussants in some. He won Second Prize in the Professional Category of the 2009 UAP Bahay Pinoy National Design Competition, but his design milieu goes beyond architecture as he also won the Grand Prize in the Formal Category of the 4th Philippine Fine Jewelry National Design Competition in 2004 sponsored by the Design Center Philippines and MJIA, Inc. Unbeknownst to many, he also dabbles in ecclesiastical arts and crafts as he has designed many related items in his hometown in Bulacan.
In the academe, prior to his appointment as Dean in PUP, which he is still serving for the last 20 years, he was Special Lecturer at the Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts of FEU for 10 years and before this, he also lectured in TIP-Manila, NU and CCP. He teaches subjects ranging from Architectural Design, Theory of Architecture, Research Methods, Visual Communications, Building Sciences to Interior Presentation Techniques. He was the Founding President (Charter) of the UAP Manila-Sta. Mesa Chapter, the current VP for Operations of the Council of Deans and Heads of Architecture Schools in the Philippines (CODHASP, Inc.), and the Architecture academe’s representative as Council Member to the PRC/BOA CPE Council for Architecture since 2009 till the present.
With his achievements in the academe and service to the United Architects of the Philippines, he was conferred the title of Fellow by the professional organization in 2004.
Arch. FERDINAND I. DE LA PAZ, uap
Arch. Ferdinand de la Paz, a member of the UAP Makati CBD Chapter since 1994, graduated from the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) in 1992.
He continued his studies through a Construction Management Safety Program from the Institute for Management and Technical Development of Middlesex County College at Edison, New Jersey, USA in 1993. The following year, he further took an Interior Design Course at the School of Continuing Education of New York University at New York, New York, USA.
From 1996 to 2006, he enrolled at the School of Urban and Regional Planning of the University of the Philippines where he completed Masteral units in MA Urban and Regional Planning. Currently, he is a
candidate for the degree Master of Science in Archaeology. Core courses taken include Cultural Resource Management, Geoarchaeology, and History of Archaeology. He is now working on a Masteral Thesis focusing on retracing the Archaeological Heritage of Marikina.
Formerly with Palafox Associates and Davenport Campbell Philippines, he is now a tenured faculty member of the college with the rank of Instructor 5, subjects handled include History of Architecture, Architectural Design, Theory of Architecture, Building Utilities, Visual Techniques, Site Planning & Landscape Architecture, Housing, and Research Methods for Architecture. From academic year 2007 to 2010, he has been appointed as Gallery Supervisor of the UST Beato Angelico Gallery, a temporary exhibitions gallery primarily catering to various exhibition events of students, alumni, and professionals in the fields of architecture, interior design, advertising arts, industrial design, and painting. Generally tasked to conceptualize, organize, coordinate, design, and set-up exhibitions and related events on a weekly basis.
Arch. KAREN ANNE U. NAGUIT, uap
Arch. Karen Anne Naguit is a graduate of BS Architecture (batch 2007)from the University of Sto. Tomas (UST). She ranked 7th place in the January 2009 Architecture Licensure Examination.
Arch. Naguit started her career with R.R.Payumo + Partners, Inc. right after graduating from college. She had done site supervision for the St. Luke’s Medical Center in E. Rodriguez and Fort Bonifacio Global City and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Branch Building in Tuguegarao. In 2009, she moved to Rchitects, Inc. where she got involved with projects like the ADMU Highschool Chapel and the Tribeca: Bryant and Chelsea Towers and the Bellevue Bohol and Stratford Residences. At the same time, she is an instructor at the JPT Review Center teaching History of Architecture and E-Design (Expanded Design).
A multi-awarded designer, her group entries got shortlisted in the professional group category of the International Design Competition for the Hong Kong Crossing Boundary Facilities. She - together with her close college classmates - also bagged the first place in the NAIA Terminal 3 Rotunda Competition.
At present, Arch. Naguit is a Managing Partner of Fuyoh Food Farm Corporation and Principal Architect of Studio Eleven:23.
